A stone chapel, white owl ring bearer and magical lights lighting up the Montville Chapel at night. I almost felt like I just stepped off Platform 9¾ and were in the magical land of Hogwartz. I loved how unique this Sunshine Coast wedding was.
Sharon and Karlo met at the doggy park. Karlo told Sharon he had 3 dogs. She had 2. On the day she turned up with her dogs ... he had no dogs...
Karlo's proposal to Sharon was so casual it made me giggle. Karlo works in the building industry, when they saw the chapel being built, he was curious to see the end result, but the only way to have a tour of the chapel, was to pretend they are looking for a chapel to get married in. So this is what they did. Karlo told Sharon to book a tour and play along. After the tour (during which they were pretending to be an engaged couple) they had lunch. Karlo continued asking the chef when the best time of the year would be to get married, Sharon thought he was still joking and played along.
On the way home, Karlo turned to Sharon and asked: "so do you want to get married 2017 or 18?" to which she replied 2017. He casually told her to book it. And here we are a couple months later at their beautiful wedding day.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful day with Lauren and I. We had a ball and I made a nice weekend getaway of it. In the Croatian culture they celebrate with a spirit called Rukia. It's a drink you shot. This made the night just that little bit more exciting!!
A final shout out to Marcus from The Chapel, he is a legend!
Sharon and Karlo, I wish you all the happiness and love you deserve.
